One of the scariest times in my life was when I went in to have my first C-section. It’s a surgery so being scared is the norm. The nurses prep you and then you go into the surgical room only knowing that when you leave you will have a new bundle of joy.
So when Mrs. Amber Hughes went in for her emergency C-Section after being in labor for 36 hours, you know she had to be scared already. She wasn’t prepared to have a C-Section. She knew it may be a possibility. Her doctor prepared her when she went in for her monthly doctor visits over the last 30 weeks.
According to yahoo news during surgery, the doctor says, “Where’s the baby?”
When you go in for the C-Section surgery, the nurses put sheets over your legs and put a sheet in front of your face. The one thing you should know about a C-Section is that you are awake the whole time. You are aware of what’s going on but cannot feel anything.
Amber Hughes knew her baby was in there but where did the baby go?
After 2 minutes of looking around for the missing baby during the C-Section, they heard the baby crying. Baby Olly decided to come out the natural way. He was found under the sheets.
Amber Hughes said, “For two minutes she was scared that they had lost my baby. That is just ludicrous…. My body was telling me it was ready and I should have listened to it. I now wear a scar that wasn’t needed, across my tummy. I’m thankful my baby is okay, but we’ll never be able to forget the day the doctors lost our baby.”
I am so thankful the baby and mom are ok.
